Q: Compared with 2014A,what’s the feature of 2014D?

A: 2014D version adds more languages than 2014A.

Q:Does Vida Dice have the function of coding programming ?Is it possible to change the language in instrument cluster?
A:No, it is a full scanner for old and new Volvo car, but it cannot do program or change language.

Q:I’m using Vida 2014D with Dice, and I’m curious about in which module I can change the “Automatic locking by speed” feature?

A:You need to be able to read/write both DIM and ICM flash memories.You have two options. Either make the reload at local Volvo dealer or someone who has an autologic interface. You could also buy some interface that is able to read/write DIM but not ICM.

Q: When I use Avdi with Volvo Vida, I have problem to communicate with all modules in car.Some modules like ECU,TCUare not in networks, but I have connection with climate control, CEM and front doors etc.In network screen I have ECU and TCU red and a text no communication. Besides,I also have problems with Avdi software.

A:We know that Vida Dice is a J2534-2compatible, whereas Avdi is only a J2534-1 compatible, which causes no communication with all modules. I’m using a Vida Dice clone and my clone is full chip 1:1 as genuine one. I started with 2008 Vida versions and I was upgraded one by one to the 2014d version now.

Q: When I go Vida all-in-one after I input the password ADMIN, it does not accept anything.
A: Please install “Vida_patch”, after complete installation, restart the computer, then it will accept.

A:We need the equipment of SD Connect C4 Star diagnostic system SDS and Dell D630 laptop running Win XP home.

Follow the steps:
1. Install and activate the software. Software is pre-installed and activated if you get theMB SD Connect C4 multiplexer and Dell D630 laptopbundle package.

Recently, I purchased a 2016 original Digimaster 3 odometer correction master, which gave me great help.

This is my story. In fact, several days ago, I have been in the trouble that I don’t know how to change the mileage for my lover,Fiat Punto 2003. What even worse is that I’m a quite lazy person and have little knowledge of programming. Therefore, I asked for help in the forum and hoped that someone can give me suggestions.

What a lucky man I was! A guy who was enthusiastic and patient recommended a odometer correction tool named Digimaster 3. The using process is not going quite well.I entered with digiprog 189.000 as new mileage. but car shown only 18.900km.It was very strange. I opened my mileage calculator and I saw that there were 2 kinds of dashboards for this car. I tried both eeprom-codes to write manually. The first one calculated 189.000km, but still the car said 18.900 Then I tried the second one calculated 189.000km, and the car also said 189.000.

Luckily, all the problems are solved. My experience with Digimaster 3 is totally satisfied. I become more confident with my learning ability. I was told that D3 also have the function of audio decoding, immo test, ECU program, etc. I think I will try in the future.

How to choose BMW round 20 pin or 16 pin obd2?

I have a 2001 740iL and i have both BMW 20pin and 16 pin in the engine bay and interior of the car. i have a scanner with the 16 pin obd2 only. Can you help me with the difference in these 2 connections? Should I use the 20 pin instead of 16?

Depends what your scanner is capable of.

The OBD port can communicate to Engine Control Module and automatic Transmission Control Module only.

The  BMW 20-pin port can communicate with engine, transmission, AND all other modules (airbag, traction/ABS, etc).

Keep in mind that most generic scanners only read emissions related codes that only require OBD. A BMW specific scanner will read more modules through your 20-pin.

I have a k+d can cable that I will plus in my laptop with ISTA d or ISTA p. I was advised that If my car has a 20-pin port present, I need to use that (K+DCAN cable with 20-pin adapter is fine) to access all modules; especially with ISTA, since ISTA scans all modules.

I also need to check if pin 15 in the round plug is populated. If it is I will need an ADS interface for certain modules. The most common one I have found to still be on ADS in the late cars is the ASC/DSC.

Autel MaxiDAS DS708 Wifi Scanner Reviews

I’m Dennis, I have been focused on the Autel MaxiDAS DS708 for a long time.I find thatthe Autel MaxiDAS DS708 has many advantages,including support for more than one “brand”of vehicle, all in one design, automatic Wi-Fi updates available, advanced USB communication, etc. I spoke to Autel and they told me that this does everything EXCEPT “it can not flash/program modules…” Besides, I asked on the forum if anyone who has tested this scanner.

Fortunately, I did get some thoughts and comments from friends.

Customer A: This is the only scanner I have. The DS 708 was able to not only read the module but had good bidirectional support as well. The ford diesel coverage is very good. The gm diesel support is hit or miss. Haven’t tried dodge. The European coverage is excellent. Bmw support is great. Mine even works on pre obd2 models using the proprietary bmw connector.

Customer B: I’m Chriscox. I own a ds708, have used it for 4 years since they came out, love it, great scanner, its basically 99% has the function of techII.

Customer C: There is no internal battery in the Autel. But you get used to it. . If you visit Savannah before you make your scanner purchase you can try mine out. But really… For the money it is by far the best I’ve seen or us
